Summertime in Ljubljana brings us a variety of cultural events, especially outdoor ones where performances expand to new horizons. The most famous and recognized event is Ana Desetnica festival, which will visit the streets of Ljubljana for the 14th time. This festival will bring together a large number of street artists, musicians, jugglers, clowns, circus performers, fire-eaters, “provocateurs”, dancers and actors from Slovenia and abroad. During the last decade, the Ana Desetnica Festival in Ljubljana traditionally takes place during the first weekend in July (this year from 30 June 2011 till 03 July 2011). It lasts four days, offering a variety of Slovene and foreign acts at several locations in the centre of the city, from Špica to the centre and along the banks of the Ljubljanica river.
